Srijanotsav 2008

As the new academic session begins; and the students across the country come to the Institute, the healthy relationship is formally solemnised with a grand “fresher’s welcome feast” which include dance, music, food and loads of fun.

AIMS hosted a welcome bash for the Vth batch of PGPM new entrants on 29th September 2008. More than 1000 students were present at the occasion and around 200 students participated in the bash.

Keeping up with the AIMS tradition, of throwing a party with much extravaganza and splendour, this year also not a single stone was left unturned to make sure to conform to the previous standards, and it would not be an exaggeration if it is said that this year’s event surpassed the previous ones!

The event started with a Ganesha Vandana . Suchitra Das a student of Ist Year infused the inspiration of the dance among the audience. This was further followed by various cultural performances by the students. However it was the ramp-walk by our budding managers who really stole the whole show with their scintillating performance and really propelled the audience to ask for more.

For the first time AIMS students came up with their own musical band “Frozen Crystal” formed by Chandreshwar, Raj Jyoti and the killer drummer-Arijit Ghosh! The students were found picking up the rhythm on ‘the trio’s’ music and were spotted shaking legs which really provided the musical succor for the party.
The event was presided over by AIMS Director Prof. V. Thyagarajan. Faculty members and entire staff were also present at the party and could be seen enjoying the occasion too.

This fresher’s party had been an event of the IInd year students' intense labour, passion and participation in huge numbers. Even with a hectic academic schedule the students were found ever-enthusiast to come up with Srijanotsav ‘08.
Bravo Managers! Keep up the spirit!
