AIMS Library and Information Resource Centre (LIRC) is an essential component of AIMS research and education mission. The combination of carefully selected traditional and digital resources via browsing interface and supported by exceptionally fast response service, provides AIMS community with a library that is worthy of this world class institution. The enthusiastic Library management, commitment of talented Library staff and the support of top management makes the Library a most lively place on the campus providing friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, extends research and publication assistance and facilitates undergraduate, postgraduate and research scholars.

AIMS Library and Information Resource Centre (LIRC) is well equipped with precious books, Textbooks, Reference books, Periodicals and Journals. The students can freely access to these books and references. It is supported by a large well-ventilated reading-room. The Library uses Alice for Windows software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the library holding can be accessed though the Alice for Windows POAC and WEBOPAC.
The library frequently displays and exhibits various books, newly arrived books. The students are lent the textbooks for the entire academic session with nominal charges through Book-Bank and teachers and students can also buy the books directly from market and submit them to the library of which the amount is paid immediately.

128 Periodicals of both National and International & 08 Newspapers.

    • a. CMIE (Prowess Database).

The Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) is an independent economic think-tank headquartered in Mumbai, India. It provides information solutions in the form of databases and research reports. CMIE has built the largest database on the Indian economy and companies. Prowess is one of its products.

CMIE (Prowess) is a database of large and medium Indian firms. It contains detailed information on over 10,000 firms. These comprise

  • All companies traded on India's major stock exchanges
  • Several others including the central public sector enterprises.

The database covers most of the

  • Organised industrial activities
  • Banking
  • Organised financial and other service sectors in India.

The companies covered in Prowess account for

  • 75 per cent of all corporate taxes
  • Over 95 percent of excise duty collected by the Government of India.
    • b. 58 Online Journals of ICFAI Press.

 (We are also planning to subscribe online international journals database like PROQUEST, EBSCO, etc.)

(OPAC allows users to view the Library’s holding via an online computer and WEBOPAC  allows anyone in the world to view the library’s holdings through the Internet.)
